March Weather in Daytona Beach: What to Expect
March in Volusia County is genuinely nice riding weather — daytime highs typically in the low-to-mid 70s, nights dropping into the mid-50s. It’s not summer heat, and the humidity hasn’t built up yet. That said, Central Florida in early March can surprise you with a cold snap, especially overnight. I’ve delivered rigs during Bike Week when morning temps dipped into the upper 40s. Make sure the RV you’re booking has functional heat — and ask me about that directly, because I know my fleet.
Afternoon rain showers are possible in March but far less frequent than the summer pattern. The bigger weather wildcard is wind off the Atlantic — the beachside campgrounds along A1A and US-1 can get gusty, which is worth knowing if you’re parking a travel trailer with a slide-out.
Central Florida Riders: Your Staging Options
A lot of my customers in Seminole and Orange County do one of two things for Bike Week. Some have the RV delivered to a Daytona-area campground and stay the full ten days, making day and night rides across the rally. Others set up base camp closer to home — at a Central Florida campground — and make the I-4 / I-95 run into Daytona Beach for a few days of the event before coming back to sleep locally.

Gemini Springs State Park in Debary is one I know well — it’s right off US-17-92 in Volusia County, about 25 miles west of Daytona, and it puts you on an easy morning ride east toward the Speedway. Blue Spring State Park in Orange City is another solid option if you want full hookups and a quieter setting while still being close to the action.
